Last week a heavy fog shrouded our county. I looked out the window and couldn’t see the house behind us. In Ohio where I grew up, dense fog like that would have guaranteed a two hour school delay. Apparently, we breed tough here in Michigan, because my kids went to school as normal.

What should you not believe?

Don’t believe everything you think.

That was a bumper sticker that caught my eye on the highway this weekend. I wished I had read that phrase earlier in the day, before I ran my half marathon as opposed to on the way home from the race.

A Mind Renewed

Many days it’s amazing for me that I can remember half of what I need to remember and I praise Jesus for it; and there are a few days in the month where I seem to be a pillar of organization; going down my checklist of tasks like a woman on a mission and lying down at night with a victorious smile on my face as I pray myself to sleep.
