The Winter Rainbo

Rainbows hold special meaning in our household. When our daughter was about 2 years old and we were living in Florida, my husband pointed out a rainbow to her. He told her that the rainbow was a reminder that God put in the sky to remind us how much He loves us. Her little eyes lit up, and she became an official rainbow hunter. Steam Burn

A few weeks ago, while I was canning applesauce, I lifted the lid of the stockpot to scoop out a batch of apples, and steam rolled out of the pot and burned my fore arm. I yelped, dropped the lid and watched a large red spot grow on my arm. It stung for the rest of the day, leaving a nice purple stripe.
