Emily Smith

Emily lives just outside Indianapolis with her husband, Eric, of four years. Eric leads worship at their church and Emily sings with the band. She has been blogging for Circle of Friends for three years and has devotionals published in "Shared Blessings" and "Shared Hope." She is also the author of "Where's the Nearest Day Spa? Renewing the Anxious Heart" set to be released from Barbour Publishing in July 2012. She and Eric are also expecting their first child in July. She loves laughing with her husband, spending time with her family, and if she ever finds the time she's determined to find an interesting hobby to put in her bios.

    My sister-in-law threw me the most incredible baby shower over the weekend.

    Everything was thought out and so beautifully done.  More than I could have imagined.

    Without a doubt the most special thing about my shower was the time spent in prayer over me, my  husband, and our baby.  It was a beautiful, precious time that I will always, always treasure.  So many heartfelt prayers were lifted

    I had talked my husband into letting me buy a very nice camera about a year ago. I had seen several friends with fancy digital cameras with big lenses that caused them to carry around a small piece of luggage with them every time they wanted to snap a decent photo and I thought we would need the same. Our point and shoot was pretty old and the quality of our pictures was terrible.

    I’m not the biggest sports fan.  For the sake of my marriage and for my own sanity I have learned to find football somewhat enjoyable, but everything else is barely tolerable in my opinion.  So when my husband suggested we go to a NBA playoffs game I wasn’t thrilled about it, but for $9 a ticket and a night downtown I thought it might be worth it.
